my tooks and toys
This list will probably need to be republished quite often as I am often changing and playing around with new tools and toys. I guess I am on that search for information management utopia and I never quite get there. In fact I think the area in which software needs to dramatically improve is the information manager genre but that is a rant for another time.
So, here is my collection of software and hardware that I use regularly and in some cases could not live without.
Information Management
outlook - because it syncs with mindmanager and zoot
zoot - this is critical to my gtd process and I live in this program
mindmanager - just started to use this and like what I see
Web
firefox - no spyware and free
feeddemon - the only way to read blogs and other rss feeds!
Communication
MSN messenger - often in use
messenger plus - the ability to rename msn contacts makes this worthwhile
skype - when the conversation is too long for typing
Hardware
sony vaio notebook - best notebook I have ever used
tungsten T3 palm - wonderful palm pilot with a small form factor
ipod mini - brand new and I Ihave been listening to podcasts
nokia mobile - small and stays in my pocket (did I say it was small?)
Other>
activewords - what a program! control your pc with words that you allocate
