activewords and onenote
Buzz over at buzznovation has written about how he amazes people with the “shortcuts” that he can use in activewords to quickly bring up the mindmanager map that he wants to show.
He writes:
My latest idea about using this concept is to name the MindManager mindmaps that I create. So that my MindMap for Boston is named “mmbos”, hence whenever I want to go the MindMap related to Boston, I just type that character string, and bam the Map is open. I have traveling so much, that without thinking about who is where, I have wasted some serious time and opportunity until I started creating MindMaps for each city that I routinely visit.
I want to write more about activewords as it is simply an amazing product that I use daily, and saves me an incredible amount of time. It is by its very nature a new user interface to your pc. Type a word and bingo if you have assigned that word to something, like a web site, a document, a program etc - off it goes.
At the moment, with my current obsession with onenote for my GTD processes I have been setting up activewords links to my onenote work books.
For instance - @calls and bingo I have the calls I need to make, @penelope and I have all the things I need to discuss with my administrative assistant penelope. And so on and so on. Very cool!

We need to talk about OneNote! I want to better understand how you are using it. I have a loaner tablet, and we have built a tablet version of ActiveWords.
Ping me when we might chat!
