feeddemon acquired by newsgator
Here is some huge news relating to one of my essential programs – feeddemon. Nick Bradbury of Bradbury Software is the developer of topstyle and feeddemon has posted on his blog that both products (and himself) have been acquired by newsgator.
I find myself excited and sad about this news.
Excited because it will mean more features to the best rss reader outthere including tight integration into outlook I suspect but also sad that Nick wont be a one man show for his software. I have had the best experiences with software that is developed and supported by the original author. Tom Davis of zootsoftware is another who I admire in this way. The response to support questions and development cycle is quick and responsive. I must admit that I don’t know much about newsgator. A long time I installed it and found feeddemon a much better workflow experience.
So, Nick I am excited and sad and hope it all works out for you.
