I heard the techaddiction guys on their podcast rave about this a few shows ago. I hadn’t had a chance until now to have a look at the web site. Orb is media streaming software that allows you to stream your media from your pc to your phone, pda, notebook or another pc.

This has interesting possibilities. For instance you could watch live tv on your pda if your host pc had a tv card or you could stream to your friends the tv show you saved on your hard disk or a mp3 song you would like to share.

I haven’t installed it and played around with it yet, as that is definitely a project for a rainy day but the techaddiction podcast guys were pretty stoked about it. Go and check it out.
