Coping with Information Overload
In our modern world we definitely suffer from information overload. One of the aspects I have been working on in my GTD processes is eliminating as many inboxes that I have to process.
This is my current list of inboxes – outlook email (three accounts), physical inbox, moloskine notebook, mobile phone voice mail, rss reader, mailbox at my office.
I did have an inbox in onenote as well, but I have now eliminated that by forcing myself to categorise the information before I place it in onenote.
The above article from Humboldt State University Library contains some interesting ideas in coping with information overload. It is definitely worth a read.
