mindmanager and outlook
I am learning how to use mindmanager. It is one of those programs that you can use straight away and find it useful but over time you discover new functionality that just makes it so much more useful.
At the moment, I am considering using mindmanger as the key application for my GTD processes (yes I know another tool!). The reason I am attracted to mindmanager is that there is something intuitive about the graphical display of data. Outlook works well but the tasks are simply lists. How boring!
Thepodcastnetwork have released a new show which I am quite excited about. The show is called the personal productivity show and although it is early days, as I have only listened to the first show, but it is sure to become my favourite. The second show is now out and just whet the appetite that have announced that they interviewed David Allen of GTD fame in their third show that will be up in the next couple of days.
Come on Cameron pull your finger out and get it up! Stop teasing us!
In the first show they talked about mindmanager and the integration with Outlook. RobinNZ commented in the comment thread that he might have a good way to take the integration further. He has posted two articles on his way of using mindmanger as the prime application that brings all his data together. Check out his great posts here:

Thanks for the plug to the TPN Personal Productivity show.
The interview with David Allen was a blast. It should be out pretty soon, so look forward to the feedback

I’m a big MindManager user. I’ve written a few articles on my blog that cover MindManager that you might find helpful.

I also use MindManager quite a lot. It is a great personal productivity tool. Recently I came across a really neat add on that helps me manage information overload.
Mindsystems ThemeReader can be used to instantly create thematic mind maps of any document or ebook! It uses Cirilab’s Knowledge Generation technology which has also been integrated with Lotus Notes by the University of Paderborn. There are two links that follow for more information on these integration options.
MS Word 2007 Add In allows you to create instant MindManager mind maps of your documents based on its thematic content. Themes are represented as Topic Nodes in the mind map. It also produces a Synopsis and Detailed Summary of the document, and allows you to locate every paragraph that contains that theme.
Our partner Mindsystems has released the second and Business Edition of ThemeReader for $100 US. It■s a great product and incorporates Cirilab■s Knowledge Generation Engine technology, and works with XP, Vista, Word 2003 and 2007, WordPerfect X3, and the new MindManager 7. Free Trial. Give it a try!

Word MindManager ThemeReader = Productivity Improvement
Here is a link to a ScreenCast about Cirilab’s integration with Lotus Notes Clients. Our view is that between Mindsystems ThemeReader and our ability to integrate with Lotus Notes Clients that there could be some great synergy between all of these solutions for document management and knowledge generation.
We are looking for a Lotus Notes Developer to assist us with further development and commercial release of the solution you are about to see. If this is your company, give us a call.
