How to save any multimedia file from the web to your hard drive

Download Squad posts up a very useful tip on How to save any multimedia file from the web to your hard drive. There have only been a few times that I have wanted to do this but in those times this would have been invaluable.

This one has been making the rounds on del.icio.us and Digg, and for power-users whoMultimedia tip know Firefox’s dialog boxes by heart it’s not news. But one of Firefox’s greatest but least-known features is the Page Info dialog’s Media tab, which you can use to save almost any kind of media (Flash, QuickTime, etc.) that you encounter on a web site to your hard drive. It’s pretty straight-forward (choose Page Info from the Tools menu, click on the Media tab, find the file you want to save and click on Save As…), but if you need some help inner.geek has a complete write-up.
