silent mode needed for skype
Buzz posts on how he attempted to contact me in order to demonstrate skype to a group of people. Perhaps inadvertantly he demonstrated one of the missing features of skype – a silent mode 
Earlier today during the closing session at High-TECC, I was demonstrating the power of Skype to the hard core geeks who had come to the final session. I started off by “Skypeing” my friend Shannon Clark in Chicago, then reached out to Robin Good in Rome. Both were fun to talk with, and just as I was about to move on to something else, I noticed that Phil McCredden’s Skype icon was showing that he was on Skype.
Given the Phil lives in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Oz, I thought I could show just how far ranging Skype is, I used the IM.client inside Skype to ask Phil if we could chat over the VoIP functions of Skype.
Phil instantly responded, “Sleeping wife next to me :)”
Everyone in the room laughed!
