key doctor - a post from mrs geekyinfo
I was most distressed four days after buying my new computer to find that my “d” key was not working properly. It seems in the geekyinfo family that laptop keyboard keys are destined to go caput early as the same thing happened with Phil’s short lived Dell. With two geeks living in the house, they were anxious to have a go at fixing it, but I refused on the basis that geeks are prone to make things worse and void your warranty in the process. But in a stunning display of thievery and competence, they stole my computer whilst I was out of the room and duly fixed it.
When I in grateful wonderment asked how they had managed to fix my machine without aforementioned worse-making and warranty-voiding, Phil’s response was
“I pushed it. Really hard.”
Anyway, I am grateful and glad that my love of my new compaq hasn’t been spoiled by a recalcitrant “d” key which, as it turns out, only needed a darn good pushing.
