Ubergizmo (cool name for a web site!), has some information about how Imation are increasing the size of their usb drive to 4 Gig. We are seeing some leaps in disk size technology in both size (smaller is now possible) and space.

“Imation is doubling the capacity of its USB Swivel Flash Drive from 2.0 Gb to 4.0 GB. They have now the most powerful USB drive on the market. Imation claim that due to the SLC technology (Single Level Chip) it is possible to transfer data at a 29 MB/sec speed (download) and 24 MB/sec (upload). So you can transfer 5 DVD in less than 3 minutes… It will cost 499 euros (dollars?), a bit expensive to buy only memory (an entire PC is less expensive now!) The picture is the Swivel Flash Drive 2 GB one, we will get the new one soon”
