sidebars and vista
vista.geekyinfo.com talks about how I feel about sidebar apps and the forthcoming one in Windows Vista.
‘I, like tipmonkies am not a big fan of sidebars. I find when I use a sidebar, it is like using a widget and I am left asking how is this adding to my computer experience. I work mostly on a notebook computer – a sony vaio and usually my windows are maximised and I don’t see widgets or a sidebar running on the desktop.
It may be displaying useful information but if I don’t see it then I don’t see the point.
Microsoft are looking to include a sidebar in Windows Vista. Do you think this will be useful to you?
