If you have a ipod and a job that allows you to have something playing in your ears then this article might spur you on.
“I recently joined the new breed of cubicle dwellers who operate with white earbuds hooked to their ears. Yup, I got an iPod. And given the about 42 million of them that have been sold so far, I’m likely one of the countless number of workers tuning in at work.
Jackie Brown, 27, a recruiter at Spherion in Pittsford, N.Y., got a black video iPod in November. She struggled with whether she should listen to her tunes at work, especially because she spends lots of time on the phone.
But why not listen when she’s just doing computer work, such as pulling resumés?
“I popped on my earbuds and haven’t gone back,” she said. “I even bought a speaker system so I have a little radio right at my desk.” “
