Fujitsu LifeBook N6410

Pcmagazinge has a review about the new Fujitsu LifeBook N6410. Looks like a nice notebook and should be blinding fast with that new intel core duo processor. If you are in the market for a new notebook computer might be worth a look. I have always felt that fujitsu make very nice machines even though we dont see them much in Australia.

“The Fujitsu LifeBook N6410 takes us back to the days when 10-pound systems with Pentium 4 processors were still in style. Despite integrating the latest Intel Core Duo processor, the N6410 is still a massive system, even for a desktop-replacement notebook. It has enough power and features to match a desktop system—and it’s almost as cumbersome to carry around.

The evolution of the LifeBook N6000 series started with the N6010, which contained a Pentium 4 processor. The following release, the N6210, replaced the P4 with a Pentium M processor, lowering power consumption, while maintaining—or even upping—the power. Now, the N6410 uses the Intel Core Duo processor, but the design remains as thick as ever; it tips the scales at 10.2 pounds. The Gateway M685-E, the HP Pavilion dv8000, and even the Dell Inspiron E1705 all possess a 17-inch screen and weigh around 2 pounds less than the N6410. The newer platforms let vendors design thinner systems, even desktop-replacement notebooks, and Fujitsu should have followed suit by now.”
