Spread Firefox is reporting that Mozilla Firefox has been downloaded 75,000,000 times. The 75 millionth download came at 11:17:10am UTC/GMT today. The download count does not include upgrades obtained using Firefox’s in-built software update system.

Mozilla 1.7.10 Released

Mozilla 1.7.10, a security update to the Mozilla Application Suite, is now available for download. There was no Mozilla 1.7.9 release: it was cancelled after it was discovered that changes in the equivalent 1.0.5 releases of Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird caused some problems.

Just one day after Google launched its toolbar software for Firefox, Yahoo has brought rain to Google’s parade, releasing a refreshed build of its own Firefox toolbar. Yahoo’s Firefox toolbar replicates many of the features it already offers customers using Internet Explorer.
